Cadreatech Engineering Services Ltd is a multidisciplinary engineering firm in Kenya providing structural, civil, architectural, MEP, geotechnical, water engineering, cost management, and ESIA / environmental services across Kenya and East Africa.
Our engineers are registered with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK), while our Architects and Quantity Surveyors are registered with the Board of Registration of Architects and Quantity Surveyors of Kenya (BORAQS). We also deliver Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), NEMA licensing support, and EHSS advisory so projects stay compliant from design through construction.

What approvals do I need from county governments in Kenya?
Most building projects require development permission and building plan approval from your county government. You may also need NEMA EIA approval, WRA permits, fire safety approval, and occupation certificates.
How long does the county approval process take in Kenya?
Typically 60 to 90 days for straightforward projects. Complex developments requiring NEMA or special permits may take 4 to 6 months.
What structural engineering requirements apply to high-rise buildings in Kenya?
Buildings exceeding four storeys typically require geotechnical investigation, wind load analysis, and seismic consideration under Eurocode and Kenya Building Code provisions.
Do I need a quantity surveyor for my construction project?
Engaging a BORAQS-registered QS is highly recommended for projects with budgets above KES 1 million for BoQs, cost control and contractor payments.
